 Beat the Bullies

Cyberbullying is a lot like regular bullying, it can happen to anyone who uses a computer, phone or anything you can talk to people with.

A bully might send nasty or abusive messages that make you feel sad or bad about yourself. They might do this by sending text messages to your phone, or using the Internet and things like iMessage, BBM or WhatsApp.

What to do

If you think you, or someone you know, is being cyberbullied you should tell a parent or a teacher about what is happening. You should also try to keep nasty messages that have been sent to you so you can show them to your parents or teacher.

Bullies don't like it when you tell someone, it makes them frightened.

Remember no-one has the right to bully you either to your face or online.

If you need help.....

You can call ChildLine anytime on 0800 1111 or you can speak to a counsellor online in a 1-2-1 chat. You can also speak to other young people on the Abuse and Safety Message Board.
